(Hartford, Conn. WTIC)-Despite a positivity rate hovering under one percent in the state, the Connecticut Hospital Association is advocating that all hospital employees and critical staff at its acute-care hospitals require the Covid 19 vaccination.
C-H-A Senior Vice President of Policy Paul Kidwell says members are currently in discussions about the mandate. He thinks it's the next important step in our public health response for public, visitor and worker safety.
If members agree to adopt the policy, it would be implemented on a time-frame that accommodates the hospital. The decision is independent of other member hospitals.
A decision could be reached in about three weeks.
