HARTFORD, Conn. (WTIC Radio)—The United Way of Connecticut is partnering with the Department of Public Health to expand availability and access to COVID-19 vaccine scheduled with the state's appointment assist line.

Starting Monday, February 8, the state's Vaccine Appointment Assist Line will have 125 trained contact specialists available seven days a week.


According to state officials, these specialists will be able to book up to 10,000 appointments at 12 locations across Connecticut each week.

The expansion comes as the state prepares to extend phase 1B eligibilty to those between the ages of 65 and 74.

The line will be open for scheduling from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day. The assist line number is 877-918-2224.
