(Hartford, Conn. WTIC)-Connecticut officials opened the Emergency Operation Center at six this morning, monitoring tropical Storm Elsa as it crisscrosses the state.
Connecticut Emergency Management and Homeland Security Spokesman Eric Scoville says the state experienced minor impact but the threat remains for flooding and power outages.
Scoville warned drivers to be aware of flooding and ponding. If drivers encounter flooding, Scoville says turn around.
As of this morning, State Police responded to 145 service calls.
