(HARTFORD, CONN. WTIC)-The Chief Clinical Officer at Hartford Healthcare, Ajay Kumar, M.D. says approval of the Pfizer Covid 19 vaccine by the FDA is monumental and solidifies making society safer from the Pandemic.
Kumar says he hopes this approval will spur more people to get the vaccine. This approval replaces the emergency approval granted last December.
Kumar says as of Monday the hospital had 117 Covid 19 patients. 74 percent of those patients were not vaccinated. In July Kumar says that number was 10 or 12. He also says we have not experienced the plateau of cases yet.
