(East Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - It was a wild scene in East Hartford Tuesday night as a stolen vehicle investigation turned into a pursuit and crash involving several police cruisers.
Officers say it started when police spotted a suspected stolen vehicle in the Park Street area around 10:00 p.m.
Investigators say the suspects rammed one cruiser and fled.
A pursuit ensued but officers broke it off a short time later.
Police say the suspect vehicle returned to the scene of the initial crash and was spotted by a third officer.
That suspect wound up crashing into the police car head-on, the injured cop giving chase on foot.
Police say a suspect jumped into the cruiser and struck a utility pole while driving in reverse.
A 15-year-old suspect was found hiding behind a warehouse. Two others are still at large.
The injured officers were treated and released from an area hospital.
