(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - The suspect in the killing of a Yale University student last winter has been arrested.

Qinxuan Pan was picked up by U.S. Marshals in Alabama. The U.S. Marshalls Service reports he was arrested in the 400 block of Fairview Avenue in Montgomery. He was taken into custody without incident.

“Once we received information that Pan was in Montgomery, a plan was developed and executed," says U.S. Marshal for the Middle District of Alabama Jesse Seroyer Jr.

Pan is accused in the shooting death February 6 of Kevin Jiang of West Haven.

The grad student was found shot to death on Lawrence Street.

Pan's arrest culminates a more than three month manhunt that took law enforcement to Massachusetts, as well.

Pan was accused of stealing a car that day in Mansfield, Massachusetts under the ruse of making a purchase.

He was also spotted in the Atlanta area following Jiang's killing.
