(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - State police are investigating after they say a suspect leapt from a highway bridge Wednesday night.
Troopers are also looking into whether use of force was involved.
It started around 9:30 when West Hartford officers tailed a vehicle suspected of being involved in crimes in town.
Despite deploying stop sticks, police say the suspect vehicle continued through town and onto Interstate 84 east, eventually stopping on the exit 46 ramp in Hartford.
The occupants, one identified as 33-year-old Maia Marielez, exited the vehicle.
She was taken into custody on an outstanding robbery warrant.
According to police, second male suspect hopped a jersey barrier, landing 70 feet below.
He, too, had an outstanding robbery warrant and was later taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The CSP Central District Major Crimes Squad and the Hartford State's Attorney's office are assisting in the investigation.
