(Meriden, Conn./WTIC) - Police have made three arrests in connection with a shooting incident Tuesday in Meriden.
Under arrest are 19-year-old Tyish Smith of Waterbury and 21-year-old Alijah Garris of Naugatuck. A juvenile was also arrested.
The arrests stem from shootout in which officers say shots were reported fired on West Main Street from one vehicle to another.
One of the vehicles crashed into a business. The three occupants had fled by the time police arrived.
Officers located Smith, Garris and the juvenile were found a short distance away. Two handguns were also discovered, as well as an undetermioned amount of marijuana.
Smith and Garris are each facing narcotic, weapons and other charges and are being held on bond.
The juvenile is also charged for his involvement and police say additional charges could be forthcoming.
