(Vernon, Conn./WTIC) - The search continues for the suspect or suspects involved in an incident in which shots were fired at an apartment in Vernon early this morning.
The apartment was occupied at the time of the 12:45 a.m. shooting but no one was injured.
Shortly thereafter, a Vernon police officer spotted and attempted to stop a vehicle believed to have been involved in the shooting.
The suspect vehicle later became disabled in Somers, police said.
The the suspects were spotted in the area of Routes 190 and 83 in Somers.
An earlier shelter in place has been lifted and schools in Somers are full remote learning today.
Police are urging caution as the search continues and advise citizens to call 911 if they see something suspicious.
