(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Police in Hartford are investigating the early morning shooting of a city teen.
Officers received the the call around a quarter-to-six.
They say the 15-year-old male victim was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen when they arrived, allegedly at the hands of his father.
The teen is in the hospital in critical but stable condition.
The father was taken into custody at the scene.
Police did not release the location of the shooting.
They do say a firearm was recovered at the scene.
Right now, they're treating the shooting as domestic related.
Hartford Police Major Crimes and Crime Scene Divisions are heading the investigation and remain on scene.
So far, they haven't given a motive for the shooting or what charges the father may be facing.
