(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - New Haven police are investigating a pair of shootings within six hours that have left two people with serious injuries.
In the first incident, police received the call shortly after 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
A 32-year-old West Haven man was found wounded in the area of East Pearl Street between Grand Avenue and Exchange Street.
He's currently in critical but stable condition at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Just before 2:30 this morning, officers were alerted to shots fired and a person down at Shelter Street between Grand Avenue and Clay Street.
The victim, a 56-year-old man, was rushed to Yale New Haven and is in critical condition.
Anyone with information in either case is asked to contact New Haven police.
