(Wethersfield, Conn./WTIC) - The state Department of Motor Vehicles says the emissions testing program is back online following a malware attack suffered by the programs' vendor last month.
Applus Technologies restored service to all Connecticut test centers.
The DMV says it will offer extensions to those impacted by the outage.
Deputy Commissioner Tony Guerrera says they will waive test fees through June 30.
DMV says there were little more than 53,000 vehicles due for emission tests between March 30 and April 26.
