(New Haven, Conn./WTIC) - Police in New Haven have now issued a warrant for the arrest of a man identified earlier as a person of interest in the shooting death this month of a Yale University graduate student.
They continue to search for 29-year-old MIT grad student Qinxuan Pan.
It was February 6 that officers found 26-year-old Kevin Jiang shot in the area of Lawrence Street.
The U.S. Marshals office says the warrant comes with a bond of $5 million.
Pan was believed to have fled to Georgia after the shooting.
Earlier this month, investigators in Mansfield, Massachuetts reported the theft of a vehicle from a dealer.
It's believed Pan took that vehicle out for a test drive the day of the shooting and never returned.
Pan is considered armed and dangerous.
New Haven Police say they'll have more to say on Monday.
