Record heat for Connecticut on the way

HARTFORD, Connecticut
Some of the hottest weather so far this year is moving into Connecticut. Forecasters say temperatures will be well into the 80's as we wind down the weekend, and then Monday and Tuesday we get into the 90's. Tuesday could hit 95 degrees breaking the record of 94 degrees, followed by some strong storms mid week which will lower temperatures by some 20 degrees towards Thursday and Friday. Just so you know in Connecticut during May, average daytime temperatures are in the low to mid 70's with night time lows in the mid 40's. Stay hydrated and make sure pets are kept out of the sun and have plenty of water.
