(Naugatuck, Conn./WTIC) - A Waterbury woman has been arraigned on charges stemming from a fatal two-vehicle crash last fall.
Under arrest is 41-year-old Joie Cascella.
Her arrest culminates a nearly five month investigation into the wreck that left a Naugtuck woman dead.
Police say last October 11, the vehicle Cascella was operating crossed the double yellow line on North Church Street and struck another vehicle driven by 69-year-old Carol Gironda.
Gironda was killed and a passenger in her vehicle sustained serious injuries.
Cascella is facing a host of charges including manslaughter with a motor vehicle, assault, operating under the influence, and reckless driving, among others.
Bond was set at $500,000.
