
(Montville, Conn./WTIC) - State Police say a North Providence, Rhode Island woman is facing charges after they she allegedly drove some ten miles in the wrong direction early Wednesday morning along two highways.
Troopers say 25-year-old Madison Jamak was first spotted traveling the wrong way on Route 2A in Montville just before 3:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
Shortly thereafter, Jamak's vehicle was then spotted headed northbound in the southbound lanes of Interstate 395 in the area of exit 14.
Troopers drove parallel to Jamak's vehicle to get it to stop from exits 14 to 18.
They also had to slow southbound traffic and positioned themselves in the direct path of the vehicle before it finally came to rest at exit 18.
Jamak failed a field sobriety test and was taken into custody
She's charged with reckless driving, operating under the influence, and reckless endangerment.
