(Hartford, Conn./WTIC) - Professional baseball makes its triumphant return to Connecticut's capital city tonight.
The Hartford Yard Goats kick off the home portion of the 2021 season against Red Sox Double-A affiliate the Portland Sea Dogs.
Dunkin' Donuts Park has been largely silent for almost two years.
Yard Goats team president Tim Restall says he and the staff have been waiting for this day to arrive.
For now, Restall says they'll play before half capacity.
But that changes on May 19 with Governor Lamont's new guidance for group gatherings.
First pitch is 7:05 p.m.
