Did the Red Sox make the right decision to let Bogaerts walk?

The questions around whether or not Bobby Dalbec can make enough contact to stick in the majors might remain, but one thing that has never been in question is his power when he does make contact.

On Friday night in Worcester, Dalbec made perhaps the hardest contact of his life, crushing a home run that the Worcester Red Sox say traveled 515 feet.

Statcast suggests that might be slightly too good to be true, as they list the homer at 499 feet.

Regardless, Dalbec absolutely crushed that ball. To put that in perspective, the longest recorded home run in the history of Fenway Park -- Ted Williams' famous "red seat" shot to right field in 1946 -- is listed at 502 feet.

Dalbec, who was optioned back to Worcester last weekend, entered Friday hitting .258 with five home runs, 19 RBIs and an .886 OPS in 26 games at the Triple-A level this season. He is just 2-for-11 (.182 average, .490 OPS) in the big leagues this year.
