BT: If Carlos Rodon gets rocked by Mets, he might as well 'leave the city'

As Carlos Rodon prepares for a big start against the Mets on Wednesday night, BT says it will be one that determines his New York fate.

So far, it doesn’t look like it will be a fate to be celebrated, especially after blowing a kiss to an angry Yankee fan during a disastrous outing.

“He looks like he wants no part of what this city is about,” BT said. “If he gets rocked tonight, he might as well just keep walking and leave the city, because he will have no chance to get back the equity. It will be over.”

Rodon is in the first year of a six-year, $162 million deal, but if he gets knocked around by the Mets in the Bronx on Wednesday, BT says Rodon might as well blow another kiss, and kiss goodbye his pinstriped tenure before it ever began.

“He’s contributed nothing to the season except for negative energy,” BT said. “When you start blowing kisses and show no understanding of how we’re wired, you better be contrite - and he was, I’m not trying to bag on the guy - but if he gets hit. Actually, I’m gonna say when the Mets hit him tonight, he’s gonna walk off that mound, and God forbid he does the wrong thing again. Even if he does the right thing, it’s over. It’s over before it started. We all know there are certain people in certain situations that devolve so rapidly, there’s no coming back from it.”
