Clint Frazier tweeted on Monday for the first time in two months, simply posting “if you want to hold onto yourself, then let yourself slip.”
Later, however, in quote-tweeting one well-wisher who said they hoped Clint would “have your moment to address the MLBPA and league officials about the importance of addressing head injuries,” Frazier sent a cryptic response that may intimate there’s more to his situation than meets the eye:
Frazier missed the entire 2018 season dealing with the effects of a concussion he suffered that spring, and what should’ve been a breakout season for him in 2021 after a strong 2020 ended in July when he left a game early due to dizziness.
The outfielder tried to rehab, but shut himself down after not quite feeling right at one point, and Yankees manager Aaron Boone continuously said when asked that the team was more concerned about Frazier getting healthy than getting back to action.
