With UConn (15-7) expected to return to the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament for the first time since 2012, and Hartford (15-8) qualifying for the first time in program history, Selection Sunday is once again must-see-TV in Connecticut.

The entire 68-team field will play in the NCAA's home state, Indiana, starting Thursday. Three Indianapolis basketball arenas and two courts in the NFL Colts' home stadium will be in play, along with the arenas at Indiana and Purdue universities.


The UConn women will be a #1 seed in the NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament, with matchups to be released Monday night. Games will be played in San Antonio, Austin and San Marcos, TX.

America East men's championship: Hartford 64, UMass-Lowell 50

(at West Hartford) The Hawks secured their first-ever NCAA D-1 men's tournament trip, playing dominant defense, pulling away in the second half; UMass-Lowell was held to 29.5% FG shooting; Traci Carter scored 19 to lead Hartford, Austin Williams added 17 with 8 rebounds.

MAAC men's championship: Iona 60, Fairfield 51

(at Atlantic City) Rick Pitino's Iona team played tough defense to shut down the Stags, who started the season 2-12, then made an impressive run to reach the conference title game.
