Craig loses it after Evan says Aaron Judge's fence-breaking catch beats Derek Jeter's dive into stands

Aaron Judge had MLB Twitter buzzing this past weekend after crashing through the outfield fence in Los Angeles after making a remarkable running catch in an eventual Yankee victory.

Judge’s catch led to a heated debate on Carton and Roberts after Evan said it was a better catch than Derek Jeter’s iconic dive into the stands against the Red Sox in 2004.

Craig hated the idea of even comparing the two, but Evan and C-Mac agreed that the comparisons were inescapable.

“Who is the Yankee bar for the last 30 years? It’s Derek Jeter,” Evan said. “Also, who is the last Yankee captain before Aaron Judge? That catch, nineteen years later, everybody knows about it. nobody has to go on YouTube to see it. everybody knows it…This one is better.”

“They’re both running full speed,” C-Mac said. “Knowing they’re gonna put themselves in danger.”

That’s not enough to get Craig to even entertain the comparison of iconic catches from Yankee captains.

“It’s so stupid,’” Craig said. “‘The Aaron Judge catch was better than the Jeter catch.’ Who cares? It’s everything wrong with sports media today, where everything has to be compared to something 20 years earlier.”
