Domingo German was lit up once again on Tuesday night, allowing three home runs over six innings, raising his ERA over his last seven starts above the 7.00 mark.

Sandwiched in the middle of those seven starts was the fourth perfect game in Yankee history, and Evan says, once German is bumped from the rotation for poor performance, it will become one of the most forgettable perfect games in MLB history.

“He pitched a perfect game a few weeks ago,” Evan said. “He may end up out of the rotation in a week and a half. When Nestor Cortes comes back, right now, based on performance, he’s the guy who is out of the rotation.

“The guy who pitched a perfect game, which you think lives in history forever, along with Cone, Wells, and Larsen, this guy may be picking weeds out of the bullpen in a week and a half. That’s why his perfect game is going to go down as one of the most meaningless perfect games in the history of baseball.”
