Gary Sanchez still hasn’t stopped hitting for the Padres.
In fact, after blasting another home run on Tuesday night, the former Yankee All-Star now stands alone in San Diego franchise history.
Sanchez’s three-run blast against the Guardians was his sixth home run since joining the Padres, reaching that mark in just 13 games. That is the most home runs during the first 13 games of any player’s San Diego tenure, besting Carlos Quentin, who hit five in 13 games.
Sanchez was signed, and quickly let go, by the Mets before the Padres picked him up, and he has done nothing but hit ever since, holding a .938 OPS.
