As the Evan and Tiki show prepares to celebrate A-Rod Day, Keith says it should be the Yankees celebrating the 2009 World Series champ, but that will never happen.
“We do have to right a wrong,” Keith said. “A-Rod is never gonna get his flowers from the Yankees. Ever. They’re not doing any type of A-Rod celebration…he’s not welcome back at The Stadium. He’s never going to get the pomp and circumstance for winning in ’09.
“Without 2009, how many years would it have been between championships?”
Alex Rodriguez has admitted that he didn’t love the Yankees giving away his No. 13 to Joey Gallo, and Keith says A-Rod should be even more upset about the slight.
“Not only did the Yankees disrespect, they went all the way out of line to disrespect A-Rod by giving Joey Gallo permission to wear that number,” Keith said.
“So, for A-Rod Day [Friday], please make sure you include the fact that the Yankees gave his number to Joey Gallo, and Joey Gallo was maybe the worst hitter statistically in a Yankee uniform.”
