The wheels are turning on former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick finding his next landing spot.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Belichick will have a second interview with the Atlanta Falcons' brass this weekend.

Belichick had an initial interview/1-on-1 meeting with team owner Arthur Blank earlier this week. At the time nothing was imminent but, in Rapoport's words now, "Things are ramping up with the greatest coach of all time..." He'll reportedtly meet with Falcons CEO Rick McKay and general manager Terry Fontenot this time around.

CBS Sports' Josina Anderson added more context to Belichick's second interview, tweeting that, "barring a snag in negotiations or a future development (still have to get a signature)," she expects Belichick to become the next head coach of the Atlanta Falcons.

With the report of the Cowboys sticking by head coach Mike McCarthy, it seems that Atlanta may be the only realistic option for Belichick to land in 2024. The team has also interviewed Mike MacDonald, Steve Wilks, Brian Callahan, Ejiro Evero, Anthony Weaver, and Jim Harbaugh for their vacant head coaching job.
