Christian Gonzalez upgraded to 'questionable' vs. Steelers

The Patriots have upgraded the status of Christian Gonzalez for the first time this season as they prepare to host the Pittsburgh Steelers.

"I’ll start off by saying Keion, and Gonzo, and Jack Westover will be questionable for the game. No other injury designations," head coach Mike Vrabel said Friday afternoon.

Gonzalez, an All-Pro cornerback, has participate in practice this week for the first time after sustaining a hamstring injury at the end of July. He was designated as "out" both Friday afternoons prior to game day in Weeks 1 and 2.

"We listed him as limited, which means that he did some work, and we’ll still evaluate where he’s at towards closer to the game," Vrabel said. "So, again, it was good to see him out there, very good to have him out there, the more guys we can have out there, the better."

Gonzalez played in all 17 games last season.
