6 rings: Everything you need to know ahead of the Patriots’ preseason opener
The Patriots have filled out their 90-man roster prior to preseason game number one.
First reported by ESPN's Mike Reiss and then announced by the team, New England signed linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.
Giles-Harris is one of four linebackers who worked out in Foxborough for the team on Wednesday. The other three included Dillon Doyle, Frank Ginda, and Tyreek Maddox-Williams.
A former Duke Blue Devil, Giles-Harris went undrafted in 2019 and has played with both the Jaguars and the Bills. His best season came in 2020, when he tallied 20 tackles, two TFLs, and one sack in three starts and nine games played.
He enters a Patriots linebacker room that consists of Ja’Whaun Bentley, Chris Board, Diego Fagot, Okakunle Fatukasi, Trey Flowers, Anfernee Jennings, Marte Mapu, Calvin Munson, Matthew Judon, Ronnie Perkins, Jahlani Tavai, Josh Uche, and Mack Wilson.
New England welcomes the Texans to town on Thursday evening for their first preseason game of the 2023 season. Kick-off is at 7:10 p.m.
