C-Mac thinks Shedeur Sanders knows he's going to the Giants - and Chris is here for it

Chris McMonigle has noted that Shedeur Sanders and the Giants aren’t hiding their flirtations with each other, and now, it seems like Shedeur might know he’s headed to New York later this spring.

“There were his cleats before the bowl game, all the talk since, having a catch with Malik Nabers in the street around the Heisman ceremony, and then the CONSTANT videos about how many times Joe Schoen has been to Colorado,” C-Mac said. “And now, there are reports he wouldn't want to be in Cleveland, but he's being interviewed at the Shrine Bowl on the sidelines, and he gave another clue.”

Sanders had said that ‘I’ll be in (AT&T Stadium) again soon playing against the Cowboys), and yeah, none of the teams playing Dallas in Jerry World next season need a QB except the Giants, so…

“Look, a lot of teams play against the Cowboys, and he could just mean I'm entering the NFL. But something tells me all the connections to the New York Giants, the tone in his voice there, the inflection of playing against the Cowboys, makes me think he thinks he's going in the division,” Chris said. “Everything is pointing to Shedeur Sanders being a Giant, and I couldn’t be happier!”

Chris, who also wanted Sam Darnold over Saquon, doesn’t proclaim to be an expert, but ‘I know they need a QB, and he’s pretty damn good and had a lot of success in college.”

“And, I know the Giants are in desperate need of a franchise builder, and he has turned around two programs in college,” Chris continued. “Does it mean anything? No, but if you think they're better off taking a different position, and you think they're better off finding their quarterback elsewhere, and you think they're better off paying some sort of veteran or kicking this thing down the line, they're not. When you have three wins and don’t have a QB and are drafting in the Top 3, you get a quarterback. Whether it’s Sanders or Cam Ward, who I personally like better, Brian Daboll was brought here because of his working relationship with Josh Allen, and if one of these guys is someone they believe is the guy, who checks every box and can change a franchise, you do it.”

C-Mac thinks they have talent around him, money to spend to patch holes, and Daboll, so…

“There’s no reason that any young quarterback is doomed to fail. Their roster is no better or worse than Washington, and Jayden Daniels transformed them into an NFC championship game caliber team,” Chris said. “That’s the move, and if they believe Shedeur Sanders is the guy, and that's who they want to draft because he checks all the boxes and they have to move up, then they have to move up. Maybe that makes it easier for teams to hold their feet to the fire and get more, but when you get called to trade for a No. 1 pick, you ask for the moon and stars – and the Giants would be right to pay it.”
