It’s not a current Giants linebacker coming to Kayvon Thibodeaux’s defense after Colts head coach – it’s an old one, but a familiar one: our own Carl Banks!

On Monday afternoon, during his day-after media briefing, Saturday was asked how he felt about Thibodeaux celebrating with snow angels while Nick Foles lay injured on the turf, and this was Saturday’s response:
“Tasteless, from the celebration afterward, just trash. Not a fan of it at all.”
Thibodeaux said this after the game, not quite apologizing but acknowledging he stopped his celebration as soon as he knew Foles was hurt:
"When I did realize that he was hurt, that’s when we started getting up. When you’re doing a celebration, you’re not looking to see who’s doing what. But I hope he gets well and he’s all right.”
Banks took it a step further later Monday, though, quote-tweeting a video of Daniel Jones taking a forearm to the head while sliding from Colts linebacker Bobby Okereke, with the caption “I assume *coach* Saturday thought this was in good taste.”
One of the replies asked Banks if he was okay with Thibodeaux did, and Banks put the onus on the sack itself and not the injury:
Banks usually joins Tiki & Tierney on Wednesdays, so we’ll have to see if there’s more to this story from the former Super Bowl Champion.
