Kevin in Middletown called in to Boomer and Gio to get their thoughts on Daniel Jones potentially winning Comeback Player of the Year in 2024, and Gio couldn’t rule it out.
“It’s not crazy…when the Daniel Jones truthers come out, I give them a little more credence. It’s not that nuts,” Gio said. “If I love [Malik] Nabers as much as I love him…and it’s year three of Brian Daboll and Daniel Jones, and this team should be better all around, including offensive line and defense, it’s not a crazy thought.
“Am I gonna put my money on it? No, but it’s not a crazy thought.”
Boomer then mentioned Joe Burrow as a candidate to win the award, to which Gio immediately pivoted and admitted that it would be next to impossible for Jones to win if Burrow plays like his usual self after injuries derailed his 2023 campaign.
