For the first time ever, the NFL announced a Players’ All-Pro team, a squad of star selected by their own peers.
The inaugural group only had one representative from the Big Apple.
Giants nose tackle Dexter Lawrence was named to the team, which also included Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, Justin Jefferson at wide receiver, Josh Jacobs at running back, and Travis Kelce at tight end.
Sauce Gardner and Quinnen Williams were not selected at their respective positions for the Jets. Nick Bosa was picked as the edge rusher, Chris Jones of the Chiefs as the interior defensive lineman, and Pat Surtain II along with Darius Slay were the two cornerbacks selected.
The top five finishers at each position will be released at some point in the future.
