The 26-year-old cornerback, who has called out both the Saints and the Giants fanbase before Super Bowl Sunday, made a post on his Instagram Thursday, responding to the criticism he's been receiving on social media, claiming that some of the negative comments "reawoke a fire," in him.

"Yall ReAwoke A Fire In Me That Will Only Make Me Stronger and Im Beyond Excited To Unleash That Demon Again to Exponential Levels On Any Opp That Lines Up Across From Me Next Season," Apple said at the end of his statement on Instagram.

Fans have been ripping Apple whenever they could, an effort that was largely led mainly by Saints fans. In a tweet, Apple called New Orleans, the 'dirtiest and smelliest' city, and said it's a toss-up between them and New York as having one of the worst fanbases he has played for.

If Apple keeps deciding to poke the bear, fans will continue to attack him for his performance and put him at the butt of everyone's jokes across NFL Twitter.
