Graham Gano had been asked for his No. 5 in the past, but Kayvon Thibodeaux must have come with a sweet deal, as the Giants fifth overall pick now has his college number back.
The Big Blue Twitter account posted a photo of Thibodeaux’s No. 5 hanging in the locker room in Giants blue, with the caption, “Thibodeaux got it,” revealing that the highly-touted pass rusher would be wearing the number he sported at Oregon, before he was taken as New York’s first draft pick last month.

The number had belonged to the veteran kicked Gano, who held onto the No. 5 last year, when safety Jabrill Peppers tried to get his former Michigan number from Gano, but said the asking price was “way, way too high.” Thibodeaux apparently wanted his college number badly enough to match Gano’s demands.
Gano revealed on Twitter that whatever Thibodeaux paid to Gano is going to charity.
