The Giants announced the hiring of their new head coach on Friday evening, tabbing former Bills offensive coordinator Bill Daboll as Joe Judge’s replacement.
Daboll, who worked with New York GM Joe Schoen in Buffalo this past season, was widely considered to be a top candidate for Big Blue and elsewhere, especially after the job the 46-year-old did with Josh Allen and the Bills offense, which ranked third in the NFL in points per game this past season before scoring a total of 83 points in two playoff games.

After news broke of the hiring, reactions poured in from the players who will now call Daboll their head coach, and many reacted with excitement, including cornerbacks Logan Ryan and Julian Love, as well as wide receiver Darius Slayton.
Saquon Barkley also seems to like the move, as he liked a post on Instagram announcing the breaking news.
Of course, Daboll will still have to prove himself to his new group in a new role, but it seems like recent Giants hires have been widely praised, both inside and outside the locker room, as the franchise looks to set its sights on a brighter horizon following one of the darkest five-year runs it has ever experienced.
