Colts interim head coach Jeff Saturday was critical of Kayvon Thibodeaux after the Giants edge rusher did a snow angel celebration next to Nick Foles, who was writhing on the ground in pain after he was sacked by Thibodeaux on Sunday.

“Tasteless from the celebration afterward,” Saturday said Monday. “Just trash. Not a fan of it at all.”

Thibodeaux told reporters after the game that he didn’t realize Foles was hurt, and it did appear that he abruptly ended his celebration and quickly rose to his feet after a teammate seemed to let him know that Foles was on the ground in obvious pain.

Asked about Saturday’s comments on Wednesday, Thibodeaux fired back at the Colts head coach.

“I don't know who he is. Anybody who comments on it, unless I know who they are, it doesn't really affect me. That’s it.”

Thibodeaux also pushed back at anyone who was critical of his celebration, especially those who have never played the game.

“Who’s the gatekeeper of when to do something?” Thibodeaux said. “Once we figure out who the gatekeeper is, then we can write the rules and establish the narratives and things like that. But until you guys are actually in the sport and do it and be in that moment, you can’t create a narrative on it.”
