Darren Waller went viral on Thursday after releasing a music video for his song about his ex-wife Kelsey Plum, and the vast majority of fans roasted the Giants tight end for the optics of the video and the sound of the song.
Keith didn’t want to bash someone for trying to succeed in another industry, but he says it’s time to give the Giants a decision on whether or not he is playing this season.
“Let’s just say Darren Waller, clearly music is something that you’re spending your time, money, and energy on. Good for you. I hope you come out with a hit record,” Keith said. “But around here, these folks want to know if you’ll be playing for the G-Men.
“It’s kind of odd that the Giants are practicing, getting reps, catching passes, running plays, and you’re dropping TRL…what is this supposed to mean? What is this symbolizing? Are you playing or not bro?”
Waller still hasn’t made his decision on retirement, but Keith says he should make it now, and hang up the cleats to go after his music career, since that’s where his head seems to be right now.
“Just hang it up…I just think it’s a wrap,” Keith said. “But go ahead and say that. You’re getting roasted online. You clearly want to be a rapper or a singer. Just go ahead, dude. I’m sure you’ve made your money.”
