Keith says 'Darren Waller is just mid' at this point in his career

Keith believes the Giants are capable of better play than what they’ve shown through the first six weeks of the season, but he isn’t sure the team’s big offseason acquisition is capable of much more.

“I think Darren Waller is just mid,” Keith said. “This isn’t the version of Darren Waller that you saw tear the league up a few years ago with the Raiders. He’s not.

“He’s over 30, he’s not making miraculous catches. I don’t know why people think he’s Spider-Man or he’s got this 10-foot catch radius. He needs the ball thrown at his chest, and he’s still not gonna make crazy plays.”

Waller was supposed to be a top target for Daniel Jones, and represent a true playmaker that would boost an offense in desperate need of an elite receiving threat. Waller has yet to show that on a consistent basis, and Keith doesn’t believe it should be expected anymore.

“He’s disappointing,” Keith said. “I have him on my fantasy team. I’m trying to get him up out of there.”
