Congratulations to Davis Webb, who is finally in the NFL record books in the passing department.

This one-yard pass to running back Matt Breida on the Giants’ second drive Sunday marked the first completion of Webb’s career:
Webb, a third-round pick of the Giants back in 2017, had only played in one game in his NFL career entering Sunday: Buffalo’s 45-17 win over the Jets in Week 11 of 2021. He played the Bills’ final drive of that game, handing off twice before taking two knees for minus-3 yards, his first (and until Sunday, only) official numbers in the record book in five-plus seasons in the NFL.
With the Giants sitting multiple starters, head coach Brian Daboll somewhat surprisingly gave Webb the start over Tyrod Taylor in a game that means nothing for Big Blue. The Giants went three-and-out on their first series, with Webb throwing an incompletion on third-and-3 to record his first-ever NFL passing attempt.
It took him just one more play to get on the board, but the Giants went three-and-out on that series as well, as Webb nearly made a remarkable play spinning out of a sack attempt by Hassan Reddick, but his last-second heave was just too high for Marcus Johnson.
