Ed Orgeron's recruiting trips are the stuff of legends, but even by those standards a "recruiting" trip to see Super Bowl champion Eli Manning took a bit of a left turn.
In a teaser clip for Orgeron's appearance on Manning's ESPN Plus show, "Eli's Places," the LSU coach looks over to the New Orleans native before asking "you want to give it another shot."
The former Ole Miss and now-retired Giants quarterback then looks over to Orgeron and says, "if there's one thing I've learned on this recruiting trip, coach, it's that you know how to close. Let's do it."

And whatever you might have been expecting, odds are it wasn't that both would then grunt and tear of their shirts. Orgeron's distinctive LSU polo appeared to already have a slight tear to get him started, while Eli's button's flew everywhere as he ripped it open.
Both echo "sun's out, gun's out," before taking a selfie. The entire episode can be streamed on ESPN Plus, and likely features at least one failed attempt at the shirt rip, based on the pair's interaction in the short clip.
While Orgeron wasn't actually looking to recruit a Manning this time around, that won't be the case forever. The Tigers are one of the top programs hoping to woo Arch Manning, already a mega prospect entering his junior season at Isidore Newman, where both Eli and brother Peyton Manning played before going on to NFL careers.
