The Giants officially have their new tight end, as former Commander Ricky Seals-Jones signed his deal and met the media in East Rutherford.

Seals-Jones, 27, had 30 catches for 271 yards and two touchdowns in 13 games for Washington last season, and he has 90 grabs for 1,044 yards and 10 scores in 54 games over five seasons with Arizona, Cleveland, Kansas City, and Washington.

The Giants lost Evan Engram as a free agent to Jacksonville and released both Kaden Smith and Kyle Rudolph in cap casualty moves, so Seals-Jones slides right to the top of the depth chart in East Rutherford – a spot he relishes.

"I feel like some places I've always been the two or three guy (on the depth chart)," Seals-Jones told Giants.com. "I feel like for me just to have the opportunity to come in and fight for the one spot is good. I'm just going to come in and do my 1/11th and make sure I help the team win. I feel like I'm a complete tight end, so I just have to come out, work hard and show the coaches what I can do and go from there."
