Joe Douglas’ “He’s gonna be here” declaration at Boomer and Gio Live wasn’t the only Aaron Rodgers bread crumb that was laid out by a member of the Jets this week.

Allen Lazard, recently signed by Gang Green and Rodgers’ former wide receiver in Green Bay, posted a photo on his Instagram of himself working out on a football field with Rodgers earlier this week. The photo showed the two running, with Lazard in front, and the caption, “Always smoking past this dude,” with Rodgers tagged in the photo.

Lazard signed a four-year deal with Gang Green in March, one of several former Rodgers teammates that the Jets have signed this offseason, since the future Hall of Famer made his intent known to play for New York. Former Rodgers backup Tim Boyle signed a one-year deal earlier this week, and hired Rodgers’ former offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

Rodgers still isn’t officially a member of the Jets, but all signs continue to point to that move being inevitable.
