Boomer believes Davante Adams winds up with Jets: 'I don't see how it doesn't happen'

On Monday, Boomer said that he had heard Davante Adams would be traded to the Jets in late August or early September, if a trade with the Raiders were to indeed happen.

On Tuesday, Boomer doubled down, and says he believes the trade will eventually happen, and the star wideout will be a Jet this season.

“In my eyes, you got an unhappy wide receiver in Las Vegas. The last thing you want on your team is an unhappy wide receiver, especially one that is going to the Hall of Fame,” Boomer said.

“I do believe that where there is smoke, there is fire. And I do believe that Davante Adams will be a Jet. I really do. I don’t see how it doesn’t happen.”

Adams to the Jets has long been rumored given his relationship with longtime Packers teammate Aaron Rodgers, and Boomer believes that will lead Adams to New York, which will make the Gang Green offense even more formidable, but will also dial up the pressure even further on the organization to finally end their playoff drought.

“The question will be compensation going back to the Raiders, and absorbing or either extending Davante Adams,” Boomer said.

“If they don’t win this year, and something goes awry, guess what? They’re all getting canned…they’re gonna go all in.”
