Sauce Gardner was being ripped across social media after and egregious missed tackle on Trey McBride, which eventually led to a game-sealing touchdown for the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.
The loss for the Jets all but ended the season, and Gardner’s tackling was a heavy point of criticism. The young cornerback defended himself on social media, but BT went off on the former first-round pick and how far he seems to have fallen.
“‘Soft’ Gardner is now his name,” BT said. “Mix in a protein shake, learn how to lift a weight, and learn how to lower your pads and actually tackle somebody.
“What has happened to ‘Soft’ Gardner right now is one of the biggest mysteries that I’ve ever seen, at least recently, in New York sports. To be that great and become such a disinterested stiff at this point, I can’t even comprehend what has happened.”
Gardner was expected to be a pillar of a dominant Jets defense, but instead, he has become a face of an underperforming unit that missed 20 tackles on Sunday with the season on the line. BT didn’t hold back on what a disappointment Gardner has become in his third NFL season.
“That young man, ‘Soft’ Gardner, is now interested in playing golf than football,” BT said. “He has stunk this entire season.
“The NFL has figured him out…go at Gardner and run right through his chest.”
