C-Mac saw a Jets team, specifically defensively, on Thursday night that deliberately took its collective foot off the gas on a season that is already over.
“This Jets team is not above making business decisions,” C-Mac said. “What I saw early in the game…did you see the effort, the speed? I saw the game, it looked like they were running in slow motion.
“The season is dead, and they ain’t trying to get hurt on a Thursday night, short week. We see how many injuries happen on Thursday nights. The New York Jets defense decided they weren’t going to play hard to start the game.”
C-Mac pointed out multiple instances where it looked like the Jets defense was going full throttle against Joe Flacco in the Browns, from C.J. Mosley to Sauce Gardner, particularly in the first half.
“The first touchdown of the game, Sauce Gardner had no interest in running full speed to knock a wide receiver out of bounds while his teammate is fighting through a tackle,” C-Mac said. “This defense didn’t want to show up.”
