The Chiefs' trade deadline stayed busy all the way to the end. After making a trade for edge rusher Melvin Ingram earlier in the day, the team is reportedly sending offensive guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif to the New York Jets:
A five-year starter for the Chiefs, Duvernay-Tardif hasn't played in two seasons after opting out of the 2020 season to work in a Montreal long-term care facility helping to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. He was put on the Chiefs' active roster on Monday night for the first time since Super Bowl LIV.

In return, they'll get Brown, a backup tight end who will now be on his fourth team in seven seasons. Through 81 career games (12 starts), Brown has 420 yards on 44 receptions with a couple touchdowns. The move also frees up about $1 million in net cap space for Kansas City.
