Sauce Gardner took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to apologize for comments made on an appearance with popular streamer Adin Ross, which were quickly criticized as being anti-Semitic in nature.

The Jets cornerback said, in response to Ross (who is Jewish) telling the group he got a Tesla from another Jewish man, “y’all run the world.”

Gardner posted on X, “I love all people. While my intentions were positive, I just learned that people use those exact words I shared for hate towards Jewish people. That is not what I am about and I appreciate those who took the time to educate me on that fact.”

Evan said Gardner’s one mistake was the way he worded that apology.

“He was jesting. He was joking,” Evan said. “It didn’t appear in this video that Adin Ross and his friend were offended (Ross replied to Gardner’s apology that he wasn’t offended in any way). I think the mistake Sauce made - and I love Sauce, you know that… I don’t think the approach should be, ‘the majority of my agency and marketing team is Jewish, and I talk to them every day. You probably took what I said wrong. It’s a good thing.’ That doesn’t work.

“I think it should have been said very differently. You should have said, ‘My bad. I was making a joke. Didn’t mean anything bad by it. I can see how it was taken the wrong way. My apologies.’”

Tiki agreed, and also didn’t believe Gardner meant to be offensive in any way.

“I think it’s a lot of a reach,” Tiki said. “Especially because he was joking, and who he was talking to already said he took it as a joke.”
