The Jets season finally came to an end on Sunday, and in the hours that followed, Evan says he heard conflicting messages from several members of the organization in terms of the state of the team.

With Robert Saleh, Evan didn’t understand why the head coach seemed to be gloating about finally beating the Patriots, the Eagles, and other success against playoff teams in an otherwise lost season.

“It was almost like a victory lap,” Evan said. “I’m thinking to myself, ‘Really? So many great things?’ there are a lot of Jet fans who look at the 2023 season as one of the most unfulfilling seasons in the history of this franchise, and yet the head coach’s attitude was ‘Yay, we accomplished a lot.’”

Garrett Wilson seemed to be much more critical, talking about the need for the offense to look a lot easier next season, while calling this football season the worst of his life.

“I think Garrett Wilson represents us,” Evan said. “That was what we all think…He took shots at everybody, but they were fair…that’s how most Jets fans feel about this season: anger, disgust, and a feeling of ‘We need to be better.’”

As for Aaron Rodgers, who talked about getting rid of the “bulls--t” in the building that doesn’t have to do with winning, Evan is just left confused, as he can’t think of anything Rodgers would be referring to other than himself.

“I have no effing idea what he’s talking about,” Evan said.
