Boomer had Gio shaking on Wednesday morning when he said Zach Wilson will be in Minnesota next season, predicting that the Jets failed draft pick will have his next chapter with Gio’s favorite team.
“Take it with a grain of salt. He’s going to the Minnesota Vikings,” Boomer said. “He’s gonna get traded to the Vikings. That’s definitely gonna happen.
“Kevin O’Connell is gonna see that arm, gonna see all this great off-platform crap that he likes to pull off, and it’s gonna be wonderful.”
Gio doesn’t like that idea at all, to say the least.
“Here comes Zach Wilson, who I probably criticized 10 times worse than Daniel Jones, and he ends up as quarterback for the Vikings?” Gio said. “Come on! Do you know something, or are you just trying to eff with me?
“There are 31 other teams. I’m telling you he’s going to the Vikings, Phil Simms is telling you he’s going to the Kansas City Chiefs…I’m taking a shot in the dark here, this is what I think is going to happen.”
