Joe Benigno, filling in for BT and Sal on Friday morning, sounded off on Woody Johnson after the Jets were run over by Joe Flacco and the Browns on Thursday Night Football.

“A disgraceful, horrific, pitiful performance last night by the Jets,” Joe said. “I’m so disgusted today. I fully expected the Jets were going to lose this game…I expected Flacco to light them up, but I expected better than what I got from this team last night.

“How in the world could [Johnson], before the Washington game, give a vote of confidence to everybody? How? It’s a disaster!”

Johnson has made it clear that Robert Saleh and Joe Douglas will be back next year, as the owner seems to agree with the sentiment that the Aaron Rodgers injury derailed the season, exonerating leadership of blame. Joe says it should not have gone down that way, and there needed to be more accountability.

“You have sold your soul to Aaron Rodgers, who has done nothing for our franchise,” Joe said. “You give a vote of confidence to Douglas, Saleh, and Hackett. How can you bring them back? Three straight years of double-digit losses.

“I’m so sick of the excuse of ‘We didn’t have a quarterback.’ Cleveland didn’t either, and they’re going to the playoffs!”
